Some good advices for your Beaubleu watch!

Congratulations, you are a proud new owner of a Beaubleu watch. You are probably wondering how to keep your mechanism as beautiful as possible and in tip-top form!

General Tips

How should I clean my watch for optimal continuance?
A soft- cloth is recommended for light daily cleaning. If you need to do a more thorough cleaning of your watch, we recommend using a soft-bristled toothbrush with fresh water.

Should I avoid magnetic fields?
Magnetic fields affect watches in a variety of ways, but the major component facing the battle is the hairspring. To prevent your timepiece from being magnetized, avoid areas of high magnetic fields: medical settings, electrical rooms, speaker systems and frequent flying.

Can I wear my watch during sports?
We recommend not wearing your watch during sports activities such as tennis, golf or mountain biking, in order to protect it from vibrations that could damage the movement.

In summer, what to do?

Can I go swimming with my watch?
Yes, of course! However, remember to rinse your timepiece with fresh water after your swim. Although your watch has a water-resistance of 5 ATM, diving will accelerate its aging. Do not forget to re-test the watertightness of your watch with the after-sales service every 3 years.

Our suggestions: Cleaning suggestions: use leather grease, leather spray, or leather milk after damp cleaning so that a closed protective film is built on the strap. This will also help protect against dirt, moisture and the sun. The leather conditioner itself must be finely applied to the leather and then polished with a clean towel. Alternatively, for better protection against moisture, it can also be treated with a waterproofing spray.

What are my timepiece’s temperature limits for exposure?
Do not expose your watch to extreme temperatures (above 60ºC/140ºF, or below 0ºC/32ºF). This exposure can reduce the service life of the battery and affect the liquidity/viscosity of the lubricants. Mechanical watches are sensitive to severe changes in temperature. Avoid them as much as possible.
